01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Chamartín in Madrid, Bar Chacin is a delightful tapas bar that transports you straight to the heart of northern Spain. This cozy yet vibrant spot offers an authentic Spanish culinary experience, showcasing traditional tapas prepared with generosity and passion.

The star of the menu here is undoubtedly the array of carefully crafted raciones and ensaladas, each bursting with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. Imagine tucking into a hearty Empanada de Bonito with its flaky golden crust, or savoring the smoky depths of the Chorizo Gallego a la Sidra. For a true taste of Galicia, the Lacón a la Gallega offers tender cured pork enhanced by subtle seasoning, while the Huevos a la Flamenca con Jamón Ibérico de Bellota deliver a sumptuous blend of silky eggs and exquisite ham that melts in your mouth.

Salads at Bar Chacin are a fresh and vibrant counterpoint, like the Mixta salad combining crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, tuna, and asparagus dressed in delicate olive oil and vinegar, or the indulgent Endibias con anchoas y salsa roquefort—a perfect balance of bitter greens, savory anchovies, and creamy sauce. And don’t miss the Tabla de Patés Variados for a tasting journey through rich, flavorful spreads.

To conclude your meal, the house-made desserts offer simple pleasure and satisfying sweetness: the creamy Tarta de Chocolate Casera and the classic almond-rich Tarta de Santiago deliver a perfect ending to your culinary adventure.

The atmosphere at Bar Chacin buzzes with warmth and genuine friendliness, echoing the lively spirit of a genuine Spanish bar. Customers often praise not only the mouthwatering tapas but the welcoming service and inviting vibe. Nice bar, had good cold beer. Tapas just keeps coming with your drinks ( I think they brought 4 by the time we finished our second doble. I didn't eat a meal here, but dishes at other tanks looked good.

I had tapas as both an appetiser and main course. The latter was with smoked cod. The quality of some of the products used was high. The espresso coffee was good. The atmosphere was colourful. Friendly staff despite speaking different languages.
